Collection of Information
The NTNCB requires users to submit personally identifying information to receive materials, create user accounts, and apply for certification or recertification. This includes information such as the user’s name, email address, phone number, and place of employment. More extensive information is required from applicants applying for certification and recertification.
The NTNCB also gathers information about users in order to analyze site traffic and determine what is relevant to users. This information includes which areas of the website users visit most frequently and what services users access the most. This website automatically collects information about users’ IP address, browser type, domain name, date and time of access, and general location.
Use of Information by the NTNCB
The NTNCB uses personally identifying information to complete transactions as requested by users. The NTNCB uses email and mailing addresses that are provided to make users aware of NTNCB services and offerings. The NTNCB maintains a public directory of Certified Neonatal Therapists (CNTs) which includes the name and practice location of each CNT. The NTNCB retains user information to ensure proper use of the website and for management and administration of NTNCB’s services. This may include analysis of de-identified data from the certification process in order to continue to refine and develop the services provided by the NTNCB.
Use of Information by Third Parties
The NTNCB endeavors to work only with reputable partners when completion of a requested transaction requires sharing information with a credit card company, credentialing agency or other outside party, such as the exam administrator. This website may include applications and links to websites owned by third parties. This policy does not apply to third parties, and NTNCB is not responsible for the practices of third parties.
